Okay, so first of all Dan would like to say it’s not his fault. Ellie was the one to bring some unknown object into the speeder and Jazz was the one driving. Or had Sam been driving- didn’t matter! It wasn’t his fault, he wasn’t the one shooting at them, he wasn’t the one to break whatever, he was not the one to open a stupid portal, and so it wasn’t his fault! 

So why is he now like, five years old, and why is the speeder crashed in some sort of corn field. Why is everyone- except for Jazz whose now like six- also like three at most?! And- oh fuck the door just opened and… okay that’s a kid. Like, nine at most. 

A kid and an adult, who he hadn’t noticed at first so again, it’s not his fault if he hissed at them and tried to hide his not-siblings behind him. It’s also not fair they’re apparently stuck to ghost speak for who knows how long, but at least they can understand the people.

Johnny grabbed your jaw in dirt-clad work gloves, waving your face from side to side with a vicious grin. “If yer’ too scared you can always bail. Just have’te say the magic word.” he snarked.

Your teeth grit as you shook your head. The money you paid and the time spent on waitlist to get into this haunt would suggest otherwise- sunk cost fallacy or whatever. “N-no, i can handle it.” 

Johnny’s eyes lit up, looking behind him from where he was kneeling. “Y’hear that Si?” he asked the imposing scare actor looming over the two of you. “-Brave little thing you are.” he hummed, his grimy coveralls squeaking as he leaned in, patting your cheek “Good just fer’ us, right?”

As long as young people have no recourse, resources, or autonomy, infantilization will continue to be a political strategy in order to control marginalized folks. Because young people are seen as literal property, it is a useful tool to apply that logic to other groups even if they are not children - when an adult is infantilized it is not only a revocation of their autonomy and personhood, but is a reminder that so long as there is a way to utterly control somebody, it will be utilized no matter if it "makes sense"

Mori sends sixteen skk on a mission one day. A very simple mission. Grocery shopping. 10 items on a list and they just have to get them all. Very easy right? There should be no property damage... right?

3 hours later Chuuya stumbles through the door, completely drenched and drunk, an unconscious Dazai on his back as he says, "Dazai, save him he-" and also passes out. There's a police car on fire outside.

(They knocked over a shelf of canned food and had to buy all the damaged ones. Dazai ended up consuming 15 cans of canned crabs. Don't ask about the police car.)

m flipfloppin between giant and totem (def reskinned) for her rn! giant would be Really funny for junior year and there's some thematic stuff for the transformation element I think would be interesting, but just purely on a character basis I think fig would love totem esp. as a barbie girl in freshman year. if I land on totem I kinda imagine it like a wuxia animal style thing tbh, mostly just because the idea of someone coming into a fight expecting typical movie shaolin choreography and getting Teenager That Mauls You To Death is entertaining to me

Probably a hot take, but mascot horror is more important than y’all give it credit for.

Y’all elitists are so up in arms about media being “cheap kiddie trash” that you’re forgetting that KIDS LOVE SCARY SHIT. There’s a damn good reason why Goosebumps was (and still is!!!) so popular and why indie horror games tend to attract child audiences! There’s a whole-ass MARKET for scary books and TV shows suitable for kids, so why aren’t they allowed to have mildly spooky video games without a bunch of grown-ass adults bitching and moaning about how ��THE ENTIRE HORROR GENRE IS DEAD AND LAME-ASS KIDDIE MASCOTS KILLED IT”??? It’s either that or letting the kids play the games Y’ALL like, and I doubt that leaving a 9 year old alone with Outlast would lead to anything good.
